Glen Scotia 25 Year (Worlds best whisky 2021 - SFWSC)

$950.00

Extremely hard bottle to get a hold of after winning “Best Whisky in the World”.

The San Francisco World Spirits Competition recently unveiled the Best in Show at its 2021 competition: the Glen Scotia 25-year-old Single Malt Whisky. More than 3,800 entrants were ranked across 31 categories and the judges awarded the Scotch single malt whisky from Campbelltown, a small Scotch whisky region in Scotland, as the overall winner of the competition.

The 25 year old whisky has been gently matured in the finest American oak barrels before being married in first-fill bourbon casks before bottling.

The signature nose has hints of vanilla oak interwoven with the subtle notes of sea spray and spicy aromatic fruits.

Bottled at 48.8% with no added colour or chill-filtration, as nature intended.

Tasting Notes:

NOSE
Bracing Atlantic breeze gives strong maritime influence.

TASTE
Coastal air, red apple and tangy orange peel with vanilla syrup and caramel sweetness.

FINISH
Long lingering sea salt with a spicy note of ground ginger.

700ml 48.8% Alcohol
